Temple Adas Shalom is committed to providing its members with opportunities to engage in lifelong learning. To that end, the Temple Adas Shalom Adult Education Committee, alongside clergy, professional staff, and individual members within our community contribute to bringing many rich learning opportunities for adults, covering a vast array of topics. To name just a few, this year we are offering opportunities to learn and explore different approaches to prayer services; Jewish values; Hebrew language; topics of debate in Jewish life; unique personal stories within and outside our community; Jewish influences in music; book and study groups; film screenings; and more! We are fortunate to have a highly knowledgeable and passionate community enabling us to offer lecturers with both depth and breadth in their fields.
Our MISSION is to promote an engaging and living Judaism through learning.
Our VISION, envisions a culture where our congregants will seek answers, discover new areas, find relaxed & serious study on both Jewish tradition & religious or non-religious topics.
To serve our multi-generational and diverse congregation, we offer classes during the day and at night, on weekdays and on weekends, as well as classes that last several sessions, or are single day workshops. With a couple exceptions, classes will take place at Temple Adas Shalom. Unless otherwise indicated, they are free of charge and do not require registration.
We hope that you will find several topics of interest in this year’s variety of learning opportunities. Whether you have been a regular attendee of previous classes at Temple Adas Shalom or are still considering attending, please join fellow Temple Adas Shalom members who share your curiosity and interests. Enjoy the experience of learning something new, gaining new perspectives on your Jewish identity, and enriching your Jewish life.
